Depart
OR Tambo International Airport, we
travel to Mpumalanga. After a stop outside Middelburg we
turn away from the highway and travel through Belfast
and Dullstroom to Lydenburg. Our route takes us through
the mountains on twisting winding roads. We reach the
Three Rondawels look out point. Here we walk along the
side of the Blyde River Canyon and look down onto the
Blyde River. After leaving we travel to the famous
Burkes Luck potholes. You will be amazed at the holes
caused by the water.
We travel to God’s Window where you will
have the time to enjoy the spectacular view. We end the
day at Pelgrim’s Rest where we spend the night at the
Royal Hotel, a unique late Victorian style hotel.
Day 2
Explore the unique town of Pelgrim's
Rest, declared a National monument, walk down the
streets, and visit the shops and old houses to get an
idea how the early settlers lived. After lunch at the
Royal Hotel we depart for Kruger Park via twisting and
winding roads to Hazyview and enter the Park through
Kruger gate to Skukuza camp where we spend the
night.
Day 3
Full day of game viewing and searching
for the Big Five until we arrive at Satara Camp where
you can get out of the vehicle, just in time for
lunch. After lunch we travel back roads in search for
more game. We end the day with a bush braai and
overnight at Skukuza.
Day 4
After a bush breakfast, we depart
visiting Hall's Gateway a well-known landmark near
Nelspruit for its locally manufactured preserves and
nuts. After filling up on all the locally preserves we
depart for Sudwala Caves, the oldest known caves in the
world. A Guided tour through these dolomite caves is
conducted after which we travel via Schoemanskloof to OR
Tambo International Airport.
